RAKDCA PROUDLY CELEBRATES UAE CIVIL AVIATION DAY
The UAE Civil Aviation Day is celebrated on 5th October of every year, which has been adopted by the UAE cabinet as ‘UAE Civil Aviation Day’ in order to create awareness and provide continuous support for the development and progress of the aviation community in UAE. H.E Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, on behalf of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah and the Department of Civil Aviation, congratulated H.E. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori- Minister of Economy, Chairman of the GCAA Board and Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General– UAE General Civil Aviation Authority on the 5th anniversary of the UAE Civil Aviation day.“New technologies and systems are boosting revenue in the aviation sector, however requiring a significant investment in all aspects of the business. This is only to show that we are committed to connecting globally with more and more sectors every day. This will also produce millions of new jobs in this ever lucrative industry. Regulations and policies have been reviewed in the light of changing industry dynamics which has led to better safety and security measures. The RAK Government has taken massive strides in the development of the Emirate, with major tourism attractions, 5-star hotel beachfront properties and the promotion of touristic flights from all over the world”, he stated.
